Varuna “Hang & Voice spirit”
Biography
RITUALISTIC, HANDPAN & VOCALS, WORLD MUSIC
Varuna is a musical project born from the meeting of voice and handpan,
where sound, vocals, and improvisation blend to create an intimate, ritualistic,
and deeply immersive experience.
During our performances, we present original tracks from our studio
albums—*Tra il sacro e il profano* and the more recent *Hang & Voice Spirit*—
alongside unreleased compositions, moments of improvisation, and live-created soundscapes.
Their repertoire stems from musical exploration and the fusion of world music,
ethnic sounds, and mantras or bhajans from the Hindu tradition.
The journey is rounded out by reinterpretations of well-known songs,
all filtered through our own unique musical voice.
Each performance is an encounter between composition and freedom,
rhythm and deep listening, voice and vibration: a sonic journey that invites
the audience to let themselves be carried away and to experience the music
in a state of authentic presence.
