Biography
Duohh is the creative alliance of two kindred spirits who first crossed paths at the Budapest Contemporary Music Conservatory.
Ákos, a lifelong percussionist and seasoned fusion-jazz drummer, has in recent years immersed himself in the evocative universe of the handpan—an instrument whose subtle overtones and meditative resonance have reshaped his artistic trajectory.
Máté, trained as a saxophonist, now performs on keyboard and electronic saxophone, cultivating a distinctive sonic identity through his exploration of novel timbres and experimental sound design.
What began as informal improvisations soon revealed a deeper musical kinship and blossomed into a close friendship. In Duohh, the handpan’s organic warmth converges with expressive keyboard harmonies and the innovative, shape-shifting colors of the electronic saxophone, yielding an intimate yet forward-looking sound world that is uniquely their own.
